Bally Ribbon Mills to Highlight High-Performance Webbing at PIA Symposium 2025

Explore award-winning materials and innovative fabric and webbing designs for the parachute industry
High-Performance Webbing Designs for the Parachute Industry
Bally Ribbon Mills (BRM) announces that it will showcase its high-quality, high-performance webbing designs at the PIA Symposium from March 10-14, 2025 in Daytona Beach, FL. At the booth, BRM experts will be available to discuss the company’s award-winning materials, tapes, webbings, and specialty textiles, including high-performance webbings, E-WEBBINGS®, and other narrow fabrics for the parachute industry. Notably, these webbing designs for the parachute industry support critical applications that demand strength, durability, and reliability.
BRM’s fabrics feature custom weave designs and high-performance fibers or fiber combinations. Specifically, engineers develop these patterns for specific end-use applications and tailor them to meet the needs of various industries. In addition, BRM adapts its technology and capabilities for emerging applications.
E-WEBBINGS®
At the booth, BRM will showcase E-WEBBINGS®. These fabrics combine traditional fibers with functional elements such as conductivity, light transmission, and sensors. In addition, BRM will feature composites — fabrics that integrate multiple unique fibers to leverage the inherent properties of each component. BRM will also showcase tapes and webbing with superior properties, including high strength-to-weight ratios, chemical resistance, and low elongation.
Materials on Planet Mars
Additionally, BRM will highlight its Materials on Planet Mars. This includes engineered fibers and fabrics used by NASA, ESA, and commercial contractors for near and deep space applications. It also includes the 3D Orthogonally woven 3DMAT Quartz Material developed for the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) compression pads, named the 2023 NASA Government Invention of the Year.
The PIA Symposium is the premier event for the parachuting industry, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals to showcase cutting-edge products, technologies, and solutions. With comprehensive seminars, key speaker presentations, and an exhibition hall featuring interactive displays from top skydiving manufacturers, the PIA Symposium offers unparalleled opportunities for networking, education, and business growth in the parachuting sector.
