How Can Woven Textiles Improve Your Technology?
Bally Ribbon provides engineered solutions for product design and technology.

Bally Ribbon Mills' R&D department has its roots in the development of U.S. military specification webbing after World War II. Since that time development has fueled Bally’s growth in a wide variety of markets including:

  • Parachutes
  • NASA life support systems
  • Military troop/soldier and ordinance support systems
  • Medical implantables
  • Automotive airbag and linkage components
  • Fire protection and heat resistant applications
  • Fall arrest and harness applications
  • Cargo restraint, strapping, slings, nets
  • Mechanical components for industrial applications like bearing materials and inertia restraint systems
  • Conductivity for Electro Static Discharge and light transmission using fiber optics

The resources of our R&D group are fundamentally routed in the vast multi-discipline experience of its members. In addition to obvious textile design and engineering, our technical staff has hands on work experience with composite materials, industrial process design, fire protection equipment, aerospace applications, and contract sewing operations. When working with our R&D group, expect hands on assistance in your design process that extends beyond the textile components. Part molding, extrusions, vulcanization processes, RTM/resin systems, filtration, medical sterilization, industrial process engineering, sewing technology and stitch efficiencies as well as a vast network of other organizations possessing unique capabilities are all advantages to working with Bally’s R&D Group.

We have a policy of no minimum quantities. We work with you through the R&D process to achieve your desired results and requirements regardless of the quantity. However, should your end use application require larger quantities, we have the capability to convert all R&D work to our full production facility.
